It an important business requirement these days to keep data residing in different systems in sync with each other. Salesforce CRM can receive and push data to other systems with the help of APIs, Salesforce Triggers and Batch jobs. Like if you want that anytime a new account in Salesforce is added it should be pushed to QuickBooks as a new customer, a trigger can be attached to the Salesforce Account object that can invoke a PHP, Java or .NET service to sync this contact’s information into QuickBooks. Similarly QuickBooks can sync data back into Salesforce with the help of QB Web Connector. Sync process can be run periodically with Cron job / Scheduler or can be executed manually as and when required.
